A synthetic copy of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone. People run it to nudge their own pituitary into releasing more growth hormone, usually with a small shot before bed, for recovery, body composition, and sleep.
Prices from 6 vendors across the market. We link straight to each vendor’s product page and grade vendors on public lab data, so you’re not just chasing the lowest number.
The simple version first, then a little more for the curious. No biochem degree required.
It taps your pituitary on the shoulder to release your own growth hormone in natural pulses, rather than injecting growth hormone directly, so your body's own feedback loops stay in charge.
Sermorelin is the active 1-29 fragment of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It binds GHRH receptors on the pituitary and signals it to make and release growth hormone, which the liver then turns into IGF-1.
It works upstream at the pituitary, not on muscle or fat directly. Because it prompts your own pulsatile release, somatostatin feedback still applies, so the body can throttle the signal rather than being flooded the way it is by injected growth hormone.
Reports center on deeper sleep, easier recovery from training, and gradual shifts in body composition over months. Effects build slowly and depend heavily on consistent nightly dosing, not single shots.
Honest caveat: the older human data is mostly from sermorelin's former use as a diagnostic and pediatric growth agent, not from the anti-aging and physique uses people run it for now. Outcomes like fat loss and muscle gain are largely anecdotal or extrapolated. It is not an approved medicine for these uses and is sold strictly for research use only. None of this is medical advice, talk to a licensed provider before starting anything.
Sermorelin is an injection, given subcutaneously into fat with a tiny insulin needle, almost always at night before sleep to ride your natural growth hormone pulse. It isn't an oral peptide, so the injectable form is what people run. The routine is below; for cycling and timing, see the full guide.
Add bacteriostatic water down the side of the vial (a 5mg vial + 2.5mL = 2mg/mL). Let it dissolve. Swirl gently, don't shake.
On a U-100 insulin syringe, pull to your unit mark. 200mcg at 2mg/mL is 10 units (0.1mL). Use the calculator if you're unsure.
Swab with alcohol, pinch a bit of fat, insert at 45–90°, push slowly, then hold a few seconds. The abdomen, a couple inches either side of the navel, is simplest. Dose on an empty stomach before bed.
Move to a different spot each time so no area gets sore or lumpy. Store the vial in the fridge between doses.
The easiest spots are the belly (about 2 inches either side of the navel), the love handles, the front of the thigh, and the back of the upper arms. Rotate every injection.
This is Sermorelin's typical setup, already worked out. Change any value and the draw updates instantly.
Typical Sermorelin dose: about 200–300 mcg once nightly before bed, often 5 nights on and 2 off, run for roughly 3 to 6 months before a break. It's dosed daily, not in big weekly shots.
How long people run Sermorelin, when to take a break, and the honest reasoning behind it.
Often 5 nights on, 2 off, before a longer break.
A cycle just means a defined run of time on the peptide, followed by a break. For sermorelin the common pattern is to run it nightly for roughly 3 to 6 months, then take several weeks off before considering another block.
Why not just run it forever? Partly because the receptors can become less responsive over time, and partly because the long-term human safety data for this use does not exist. The cautious approach is a focused block, then a real break so your own signaling resets.

For 2 of these vendors we link the per-batch certificate itself (a specific lab report, COA PDF, or certificate image), and the purity below is read straight off that certificate. The rest link to the vendor's general lab-results page. We don't run the labs ourselves and we don't show a purity number unless it's printed on a certificate we link, so you can open the document and check it against the batch yourself.

Sermorelin is often paired with a ghrelin-mimetic so the two hit growth hormone release through different doors at once. These are the combinations the community reaches for.
The popular beginner-friendly pair. Sermorelin nudges the pituitary as a GHRH analog, while Ipamorelin adds a clean ghrelin-mimetic pulse with minimal effect on cortisol or hunger. Both run nightly.
View stack →Stacks two GHRH-side compounds. CJC-1295 (no DAC) extends the release window while sermorelin works alongside it. People run this for a stronger, longer nightly pulse.
View stack →Pairs the GHRH analog with a stronger growth hormone-releasing peptide. GHRP-2 drives a bigger pulse but can bump appetite and cortisol slightly, so people who want maximum signal use it over Ipamorelin.

Sermorelin once had FDA approval as a diagnostic and pediatric growth agent, but that product was withdrawn from the market, and it isn't approved for the anti-aging or physique uses people run it for now. The vendors we compare offer it strictly for research use only. It's also on WADA's prohibited list under S2, so competing athletes should steer clear. Rules vary by country, so check what applies where you are.
It means the product is sold for laboratory and research purposes, not as a supplement or medicine for people. It hasn't been reviewed or approved for these uses by the FDA. We aggregate prices and public lab data so you can see the landscape; what you do with that is between you and a licensed provider.
Keep the sealed, freeze-dried vial in the fridge and out of direct light. Once you mix it with bacteriostatic water, store it refrigerated and use it within about two weeks. Don't freeze a reconstituted vial.
Your biggest natural growth hormone pulse happens in early deep sleep. Dosing sermorelin at night on an empty stomach is meant to ride and amplify that pulse rather than fight it. A big carb-heavy meal right before can blunt the release.
HGH puts growth hormone straight into your blood and overrides your feedback loops. Sermorelin instead signals your own pituitary to release growth hormone in natural pulses, so somatostatin can still throttle it. That's why people consider it gentler, though also slower and less dramatic.
